    United Surgical Partners International is a company that specializes in the development and operation of Ambulatory Surgical Facilities in the U.S. and the UK. We provide first-class surgical services for local communities and recognize our employees as our number one assets. The Registration Coordinator interfaces with patients and families, physicians and staff. Admit patients and process their paperwork. Update patient demographics/information in system. Collect monies due and document in billing system. Handle funds per office procedure. You have the opportunity to meet new people and build professional relationships with physician offices. Cross training for other Business Office positions a possibility.

    Required Skills

    *High school graduate or equivalent. *One year previous experience or some outpatient surgery clerical experience or medical terminology preferred. *Must have the skills necessary to operate the office equipment required to fulfill job duties. *Forty-five (45) wpm typing skills required. *Medical terminology and computer experience beneficial *Good communication skills.

    Required Experience

    POSITION QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT INCLUDE:

    • Ability to type 45 words per minute with 85% accuracy
    • Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, business correspondence and memos.
    • Ability to effectively present information in group situations to patients, physicians and other employees of the organization.
    • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
    • Ability to adapt to changing technology, procedures and policies deemed as necessary.  
    • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
    • Strong skills in Microsoft suite products including excel and access to create professional reports
