The Telemetry Monitor Technician performs a role within an acute care setting. The monitor technician is responsible for the observation of the ECG monitors. The technician observes, documents, and reports any changes of the patient being monitored to licensed staff. The technician should demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities related to basic cardiac arrhythmias. At all times the Telemetry Monitor Technician must be able to demonstrate professional communication skills, including speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Like all employees at TMC the technician is expected to greet all customers in a friendly outgoing manner.

    Required Skills

    • An accredited high school diploma or equivalent degree
    • Previous healthcare/hospital experience preferred
    • Must successfully complete arrhythmia exam
    • Exceptional verbal communication skills
    • Successful completion of annual skills verification
