    ARIZONA SPECIALTY HOSPITAL IN CHANDLER ARIZONA IS IN NEED OF A FULL TIME CASE MANAGEMENT RN.

    JOB SUMMARY:  Assess, plan, implement, coordinate, monitor and evaluate options, services and alternative levels of care to meet a patient’s needs.  Promotes appropriate utilization, high quality of care and cost effective outcomes.   Communicates with Physicians/Nurse Manager/co-workers, as appropriate. Acts as a consultant and educator on matters referring to alternative levels of care, managed care issues, and community resources.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    • Requires fundamental knowledge of the revenue cycle process, which includes such things as patient access, utilization review, charge capture, HIM and patient accounting.
    • Requires the advanced analytical and critical thinking skills necessary to audit patient care data, associated patient care documentation and identify variances in standards of care.
    • Requires knowledge of rules and regulations pertaining to hospital reimbursement.
    • Requires familiarity with managed care principles and an understanding of post-acute continuum of care.
    • Requires the interpersonal skills necessary to maintain effective working relationships and interact effectively with staff, physicians, review agencies, insurance companies, patients and patients'' families.
    • Requires the effective communication skills (both verbal and written) necessary to prepare documentation, write appeal letters and to provide education to staff and physicians regarding the revenue cycle process.
    • Demonstrates the ability to be self-motivated, detail oriented and make independent decisions. Also demonstrates the ability to respond quickly and appropriately to customer requests.
    • Demonstrates a working knowledge of the Hospital's computer systems and proficiency in basic computer skills (i.e., data entry, word processing, spreadsheets, utilizing the internet, etc.). A basic understanding of database applications is desired.
    • Demonstrates knowledge of and a commitment to the Hospital's mission and values and the organization's goal of providing world class service.
    • Requires the physical ability and stamina to perform the essential functions of the position. 
    • REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS:
    • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
    • Current Arizona State Registered Nurse Licensure.
    • Current BCLS and ACLS certification. LANGUAGE SKILLS:
    • Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
    • Additional languages preferred. BENEFITS:

    REQUIRED SKILLS

    Proven leadership experience at an early childhood facility with multiple classrooms and programs

    Minimum of 5 to 7 years of hands-on childcare teaching experience

    Compliance with state licensing standards at a director level, including but not limited to criminal background screening and fingerprinting

    Minimum requirement of education/experience within one of the following:

    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university combined with 6+ months of experience in the group care of children – OR –
    • Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education – OR –
    • Associate's degree or equivalent combined with 1+ year in a supervisory position and 2+ years of experience in the group care of children.

    Comprehensive knowledge of national and state education standards, licensing requirements and procedures, and fire, health, and OSHA regulations.
