DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Maintain scrupulous infection control standards.
- Maintain professional competencies and have the ability to work as part of an interdependent multidisciplinary team.
- The RN Operating Room Coordinator is also responsible for the nursing activities related to care of the patient experiencing an operative or other invasive procedure.
- The OR Coordinator is a resource person and provides guidance to all surgery personnel. This position establishes effective working relationships with all constituencies including patients, physicians, employees, volunteers, and vendors.
- The OR Coordinator runs the daily operations in the surgical arena.
- The OR Coordinator works with the OR Manager and Perioperative Manager/Director in meeting hospital goals.
- This position will assist in the circulating role as necessary.

- Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
- Baccalaureate degree preferred
- AT LEAST THREE (3) YEARS’ EXPERIENCE AS AN RN IN HOSPITAL SURGICAL ENVIRONMENT (OPERATING ROOM EXPERIENCE IS A MUST)
- AT LEAST TWO (2) YEARS’ EXPERIENCE IN SURGERY MANAGEMENT WHICH INCLUDES PRE-OP, INTRA-OP, AND POST-OP CARE
- RN, current in the State of Texas
- BLS, ACLS, PALS
- Independent decision making skills
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects
- Excellent communication skills with staff and physicians
