    QUALITY RESOURCE MANAGER/INFECTION PREVENTIONIST/EMPLOYEE HEALTH

    +--------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | The Quality Manager coordinates the quality, patient safety and | | regulatory programs to maintain a systematic, continuous team-based | | approach to quality and compliance within the organization. Develops, | | coordinates, implements and monitors all aspects of the hospital’s | | quality improvement, patient safety, risk management, infection control | | and employee health activities. Deploys and integrates performance | | improvement and quality management activities throughout the | | organization. Uses constructive leadership skills to assist the | | organization in fulfilling its mission and meeting established annual | | and long term objectives. The QRM oversees the management of Infection | | Control, Employee Health Services and Medical Staff Services. This | | position consults with administration on Risk Management issues and is | | responsible for the management of issues including any communications | | with the corporate or local attorneys.  The QRM is responsible for | | identifying risk and patient safety issues and working with hospital | | staff and leadership on the resolution of such issues.  The QRM ensures | | the highest quality and safe delivery of patient care, maintains | | compliance with professional nursing, Joint Commission, and all Federal | | and State standards of care. The QRM is also the designated ADA | | Coordinator for the facility. | | | | The Infection Preventionist/Employee Health Nurse is responsible for the | | effective management and operation of the infection prevention and | | control endeavors and employee health to include education of hospital | | personnel and consultation with the organization, CDC, and the state | | health departments. The responsibilities encompass compliance with Joint | | Commission (JC) standards, CMS, OSHA, and state regulations, outbreak | | investigation, and overall direction of the infection prevention and | | control program. This position requires the ability to research | | nationally published literature and develops policies and procedures, | | based on published guidelines. The Infection Preventionist/Employee | | Health Nurse is familiar with employee disability/FMLA/WC/LOA concepts, | | practices and procedures. | +--------------------------------------------------------------------------+ |   | +--------------------------------------------------------------------------+

    Required Skills

BSN required. | | - Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) preferred | | - Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC) preferred | | | | - One to three years’ experience in Quality | | Management/Infection Control. | | - Relevant clinical experience of at least 5 years and previous | | management experience preferred. | | - Knowledge of hospital organizations, committees, department | | functions, and Performance Improvement activities. | | - Demonstrate competent administrative, communication and | | leadership skills. | | - Working knowledge of Joint Commission, Medicare, and | | State standards. | | - Basic computer knowledge.
