Customer Service Specialist, Part-Time
The Insurance Verification Clerk is responsible for validating and entering patient information and insurance coverage into the appropriate computer system. Duties may also include communicating with physician offices, insurance carriers, and patient follow-ups.
Contacts all insurance carriers per patient, to insure proper coordination and reimbursement of benefits
Breaks down managed care contract reimbursements and estimates patient(s) financial responsibilities.
Works closely with physician offices and patients to provide accurate patient financial responsibilities and to ensure scheduled procedures/admissions have proper pre-authorization.
Other duties as assigned by the business office manager
Required Skills
1 Year of medical insurance verification REQUIRED
Experience in an Ambulatory Surgery Center a plus
