    The HR Generalist role is an hourly/non-exempt position in the Human Resources Department.  Under general supervision the HR Generalist is responsible for assisting with daily operations of the Employee Relations, HRIS, and Talent Acquisition teams including managing the ER administrative tasks, assisting the HRIS team with data and reporting needs and supporting onboarding for Talent Acquisition.

     

     

    SUMMARY OF MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

     

     

    • Manage daily, weekly, and monthly data mining across multiple HR data systems.

    • Creation of new data reports including but not limited to reports covering exit survey data, recruitment data, and employee engagement data.

    • Manage all employee relations administrative work including but not limited to ensuring ER database information is complete and accurate, documenting all ER paperwork, and completing ER filing.

    • Supervise investigative program to include conducting investigation interviews, compiling investigative summaries and submitting recommendations to the Disciplinary Action Committee in accordance to laws, policies and procedures.

    • Administrate Team Discipline Model for Employee Relations and provide procedural oversight. Evaluate effectiveness of model and continually make improvements to streamline the program.

    • Serve as back up to Payroll Coordinator. Assist in weekly payroll deadlines and managing operating team payroll accountability.

    • Complete benefit enrollments and leave of absence requests as necessary.

    • Serve as subject matter expert of ADA regulations.  Assist with ADA accommodation requests, engage in the interactive process, and collaborate with operating teams to reach a solution.  

    • Complete HRIS data entry as needed and be expert in HR data systems to include

    • JDE employee file administration

    • RedCarpet Onboarding

    • SilkRoad OpenHire

    • UKG Timekeeping

    • Serve as back up to Onboarding Coordinator.  Ensure new hires are onboarded in a welcoming, efficient, compliant manner following all established company guidelines.

    • Complete regular audits of data across multiple HR data systems to ensure the data integrity of our employee information.

    • Lead weekly audits of company unemployment claims to ensure there is no misuse of unemployment insurance.

    • Lead the Birthdays & Anniversary recognition initiative. Complete regular reports of employees’ birthdays and anniversaries and deliver to appropriate teams for recognition.

    • Lead labor compliance initiatives and ensure company is following all DOL guidelines concerning proper labor signage. Audit on property labor signs regularly to confirm compliance.

    • Oversee and regularly update the company policy manual.

    • Maintain strict confidentiality and judgement at all times regarding privileged information.

    • Perform routine office functions.  Keep work area clean and safe.

    • Be knowledgeable of and assist with employment functions of new Hosts to include, but not limited to, job requisitions, interview screening, background checks, and Host ID’s.

    • Assist with all HR-sponsored Host events as needed.

    • Management reserves the right to change and/or add to these duties at any time.

    Required Experience

     

    • Minimum 18 years of age.
    • High school diploma or equivalent with at least two years office or administrative experience in a high-volume setting required.
    • Proficiently type 40 wpm with ability to compose and structure reports.
    • Proven proficiency in computer software including but not limited to Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), ad hoc reporting, and online products.
    • Experience with Excel formulas and pivot tables preferred.
    • Ability to obtain Notary Commission within thirty (30) days of hire.
    • Experience with JDEdwards, SilkRoad, or other HRIS preferred.
    • Experience with various paper and electronic filing systems.
    • Must successfully complete a pre-employment background check.
