    SUMMARY:  For the General Store Team Member at the Silver Dollar City Campground, we are looking for applicants that demonstrate excellent guest service, attention to detail, and great multitasking skills. As a team member you will work the front desk greeting guests, checking them into the cabins or campsites, and helping with any issues that may arise during our guest’s stay. This position requires you to be comfortable on a computer and using a register for our General Store.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Obtains confirmation of campground site availability and rate information from guest at time of check-in
    • Issues campground site and mirror tag to guest
    • Provide recommendations for area hospitality such as shows, restaurants and area attractions
    • Answers inquiries via e-mail, phone and face-to-face concerning rates, site availability, directions to campground, and cabin accommodations
    • Confirms receipt of product delivery and stocks shelves, counters, and/or tables with merchandise
    • Prepare and process refunds and adjustments for campground sites and cabin reservations
    • Uses OMNI ticketing software to sell SDC Attractions tickets
    • Following cash handling and credit card procedures utilizing a POS register
    • Sweep and mop floors, dust shelves and counters, restock supplies on a daily basis
    • Records amount of cash in register at beginning and end of shift
    • Is able to work flexible schedules that meet the needs of our customers to include weekends, holidays and evenings
    • Ensure proper handling of customer credit card information in compliance with Property Procedures and Purchasing Card Industry (PCI) standards
