    Job Description

    TITLE: PROGRAM MANAGER (REMOTE) PAY RATE: $39.72/HR LOCATION: LOS ANGELES, CA 90033

    TOP 3- 5 DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Responsible for providing oversight to CE projects and team, working with community partners, developing project plans to support community engaged research, ensuring that evaluation and metrics are accurately collected and reported and conducting community outreach to the greater SoCal communities including schools, local government partners, medical providers, faith organizations, property management/owners and businesses. The position will also contribute to local and national dissemination materials such as impact reports, peer-reviewed manuscripts, toolkits and training materials.
    • In conjunction with the Program Director, will develop plans and strategies for educating and training the underserved community of Los Angeles about research and the importance of research in our communities. Keep appraised of projects and status of projects; report information to stakeholders.
    • Building community networks in the underserved areas of Los Angeles. Communicating with partners and all types of stakeholders from all types of backgrounds and social economic status.
    • Manage delivery of services.
    • Lead program a diverse team (hiring, coaching, mentoring, setting priorities, conflict resolution, etc.)

    TOP 3 REQUIRED SKILLS:

    • Be able to write well, has written publications and/or has grant writing experience
    • Community engagement and outreach experience. Be able to easily work and adapt to a diverse multicultural setting.
    • Has experience with building community networks (in the Los Angeles preferred). Be able to work with all types of people from all types of backgrounds and social economic status.
    • 2-3 years managing a diverse team (hiring, coaching, mentoring, setting priorities, conflict resolution, etc.)

    TOP 3 PREFERRED SKILLS:

    • Research experience a huge advantage
    • Diversity experience would greatly contribute to the candidates success.
