Position Overview
Mighty Dog Roofing is seeking a motivated, results-driven Roofing Sales Representative to help grow our presence in the local market. This role is ideal for a self-starter who is comfortable working in the field, building relationships with homeowners, and managing the full sales cycle from initial inspection through contract execution.
As a Roofing Sales Representative, you will generate and close business through company-provided leads, referrals, canvassing, and self-generated opportunities. You will work closely with homeowners, insurance adjusters, and internal production teams to ensure a smooth and professional customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Prospecting & Customer Engagement
Generate new business through company leads, referrals, canvassing, door knocking, cold calling, and networking
Conduct property inspections and document damage using company-approved technology
Educate homeowners on the roofing process and guide them through insurance claims when applicable
Build trust with customers through clear communication and professionalism
Estimating & Contracting
Meet with insurance adjusters to review and validate scopes of work
Create accurate estimates and scopes using estimating software
Present proposals and execute contracts with property owners
Maintain consistent follow-up to move deals toward close
Project & Profit Management
Assist with supplements, change orders, and scope revisions as needed
Coordinate with production teams to ensure job accuracy and customer satisfaction
Support accounts receivable by helping facilitate timely collection of payments
Help ensure projects meet or exceed company profitability targets (30%+ gross margin)
Additional Expectations
Maintain accurate documentation and timely communication with internal teams
Participate in company meetings, sales training, and ongoing professional development
Utilize Mighty Dog Roofing University and other training resources
Represent the company professionally at all times in the field and community
Consistently work toward a minimum target of $100,000 in monthly contracted sales
Qualifications
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Roofing, construction, or insurance-related experience preferred (not required)
Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Self-motivated with the ability to manage time and priorities independently
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to ethical sales practices
