    Room Attendant

    Position Summary

    The Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, comfortable, and inviting environment in all guest rooms and assigned areas. This position plays a key role in creating a positive guest experience by ensuring rooms are cleaned to the highest standards and ready for guest occupancy on time.

    Key Responsibilities

    Guest Room Cleaning & Preparation

    - Clean guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and service areas according to hotel and brand standards.
    - Make beds, change linens, dust furniture, vacuum carpets, and clean floors.
    - Replenish amenities, towels, and supplies in guest rooms.
    - Empty trash, replace liners, and ensure proper disposal of waste and recyclables.
    - Report any maintenance issues, damages, or missing items to the Supervisor immediately.

    Guest Interaction & Service

    - Greet guests courteously and respond promptly to their requests.
    - Maintain guest privacy and confidentiality at all times.
    - Deliver extra amenities and supplies upon request, following hotel procedures.
    - Handle guest property with care and report any lost-and-found items according to policy.

    Safety & Compliance

    - Follow all safety and sanitation policies including proper use of cleaning chemicals, PPE, and equipment.
    - Comply with OSHA, hotel, and departmental safety standards.
    - Report any hazards, accidents, or incidents to the Supervisor or Manager immediately.
    - Use wet floor signs and other safety indicators when performing cleaning duties.

    Teamwork & Communication

    - Work cooperatively with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations.
    - Attend daily briefings and participate in ongoing training programs.
    - Follow shift assignments, checklists, and cleaning schedules provided by the Supervisor.
    - Assist co-workers and support team efforts to meet daily cleaning goals.

    Qualifications

    - Previous experience in housekeeping or janitorial work preferred but not required (training provided).
    - Ability to work independently with attention to detail and efficiency.
    - Good communication and customer service skills.
    - Ability to maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
    - Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and variable shifts.

    Physical Requirements

    - Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 30 lbs.
    - Frequent bending, kneeling, and stretching.
    - Able to stand and walk for extended periods during an 8-hour shift.
    - Comfortable working with cleaning chemicals and equipment.
