The Room Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all guest rooms and suites meet Hampton Inn and Hilton brand standards for cleanliness, safety, and presentation. This role supports housekeeping operations by inspecting cleaned rooms, identifying deficiencies, and ensuring corrective actions are completed before guest arrival.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect guest rooms, bathrooms, and suites after housekeeping cleaning is completed
Ensure rooms meet Hampton Inn cleanliness, brand, and quality standards
Check for proper placement of amenities, linens, towels, and guest supplies
Verify functionality of room features (lights, TV, HVAC, plumbing, locks, etc.)
Report maintenance issues immediately to engineering department
Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards
Reinspect rooms after corrections are made if needed
Maintain daily inspection reports and communicate room status updates to front desk
Assist housekeeping team with training and feedback on standards and procedures
Ensure public areas assigned for inspection meet cleanliness standards when required
Support housekeeping leadership in maintaining productivity and efficiency goals
Qualifications
Previous housekeeping or hotel experience preferred (inspection experience a plus)
Strong attention to detail and high-quality standards
Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment
Good communication and teamwork skills
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25–50 lbs as needed
Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
