    Job Description

     

    The PROGRAM COORDINATOR is responsible for overseeing and implementing all program activities, logistics, organizing and outreach.  Will conduct timely follow-up activities and will ensure timely and accurate data is submitted externally as well as for internal reporting purposes. Will report issue risks and wins to strategic management. Will work with staff members, budgets, and procedures to ensure the implementation and success of programs.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    ●        Coordinate community outreach activities and events while maintaining all related relationships with community-based and                              neighborhood  organizations      

    ●        Perform outreach activities in the community

    ●        Treat community members in a respectful manner

    ●        Communicate with agencies, CBOs and other entities related to the performance of outreach and organizing activities

    ●        Attend meetings as required

    ●        Perform other related duties as assigned

    ●        Clear and effective external and internal, verbal and written, communication skills.

    ●        Passion and knowledge of skill-based workforce development programming and social enterprise.

    ●        Experience with benefits enrollment / familiarity with Medi-Cal.

    ●        Strong critical thinker and problem solver who can successfully build and lead an execution strategy from a long-term vision.

    ●        Strong computer skills such as knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint.

    ●        Displays a consistent attendance track record and prompt arrival to work and meetings.

    ●        Willingness to work a flexible schedule;

    ●        Attend meetings as required.

    ●        Valid California Driver License with safe driving record.

    ●        Perform other related duties as assigned.

     

     WORKED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

     

    ●        Must have at least 2 years experienced working in a non-profit organization or a community clinic preferred, but not required.

    ●        Minimum 1 year experience in advocacy, organizing, and / or public health

     

    EDUCATION:

     

    ●        A Bachelor's degree in public health, business administration, public administration, social work, or related field.

    ●        Master’s in Public Health preferred.

     

     

    PHYSICAL CONDITIONS:

     

    ●        Frequent walking, standing, stair climbing, bending, stooping, lifting (25 lbs. max)

    ●        Gross and fine manual dexterity;

    ●        Able to operate standard office machines and equipment including keyboards.

    ●        Must be able to visually observe staff to understand and interpret non-verbal behavior;

    ●        Able to operate standard office machines and equipment including keyboards.
