    Job Description

    The **Americas Compensation & Benefits Manager **is responsible for developing, maintaining and/or directing competitive compensation and benefit programs for Roquette Americas. The position is a key member of the HR Leadership Team of the Americas, and of the Global C&B Center of Excellence located in France. This role is partnering with the HR community to provide functional expertise, creative C&B solutions, market intelligence and analytics for informed decision making, aligned with Roquette HR and Business strategy.

    This is a Hybrid position with 2-3 days in office weekly.

    Americas

    • Coordination of the Annual C&B projects, ranging from Annual Merit Reviews, Competitive Pay Analysis, Labor Cost (Y+1) Valuation, and Annual Bonus calculation
    • Partner with HRBPs, Country HR, Finance, and Global HR Compensation & Benefits colleagues to develop, streamline, automate, and implement compensation and benefit policies, guidelines, and programs to establish corporate standards for the Americas as well as to meet varied market needs across all lines of business. Evaluate all programming for effectiveness based on annual strategic plan targets.
    • Partner with Country HR on local C&B projects and local legislation changes
    • Proactive evaluation and recommendation of special pay adjustments, promotional increases, job evaluations, and position reclassifications as appropriate
    • Supporting HRBPs and Country HR to perform job description analysis and provide resulting grade using Mercer methodology and Roquette grading framework
    • Accountable for labor cost monitoring and budget adherence for the Americas region (including investigation into deviations vs. budget with local Finance and HR)
    • Management of local C&B COE, including a direct report (US Benefits Specialist) and participation in Global COE objectives
    • Implement Roquette Global C&B directives in Americas scope

    US:

    • Lead US annual renewal process with Benefits broker, including review of Y-1 performance, Y+1 changes to be considered, opportunities for cost savings/cost avoidance, and maintaining market competitiveness
    • Lead US Labor Cost (Y+1) valuation for all financial cost elements, monthly monitoring/adherence, deviation review, and oversee US accrual updates provided to Finance as needed
    • Ensuring company compliance in the US for all regulatory standards and legal requirements related to C&B at US federal, state, and local level
    • Responsible for all US governance and internal controls activity regarding benefits management, including bi-annual Benefits Committee and Retirement Committee
    • Manage local pay structures (including salary, non-exempt, and manufacturing site hourly), including design, annual update, and consistent implementation. This will also require ongoing participation to local market surveys to establish best practices in salary management.
    • Participating in economic proposal design for Keokuk Bargaining Unit with Labor Relations Manager and partnering with finance on labor cost implications
    • Accountable for policies and processes regarding domestic mobility within the US and international mobility (e.g. expats, inpats, VIEs)
    • Lead M&A integration project plan/timing and participate in due diligence (as needed) for C&B scope
    • Accountable for US severance policies and processes, including best practices, consistent application, and staying knowledgeable on legal environment
    • Accountable for periodic benefit plan audits to ensure regulatory compliance (e.g. ERISA, HIPAA, MSP) and partnering with outside counsel on potential non-compliance and risk mitigation
    • Accountable for periodic compensation audits to ensure regulatory compliance (e.g. FLSA) and partnering with outside counsel on potential non-compliance and risk mitigation
    • Accountable for all regulatory filings with US and government agencies. This includes partnering with broker, vendors, and/or retirement consultant to review plan documents and preparation of plan amendments as changes are made.
    • Document C&B administration practices and system procedures focusing on best practices.

    • Ongoing integration of Canada scope into Global and Americas-based C&B directives and processes

    • US Non-exempt salary and hourly pay management and grading
    • US pay equity and pay transparency strategy and ongoing action plan

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in business, human resource management, or related area
    • 7+ years of experience in the development, management, and administration of compensation and benefits programs
    • Experience and demonstrated exposure to Latin America and Canada
    • Demonstrated project management and organizational ability
    • Expert knowledge in managing and maintaining all types of health & welfare plans, in addition to defined contribution retirement programs required. Knowledge on all from start to finish; to include project management, enrollment, vendor selection and management, auditing, filings, training, education, and communication
    • Strong analytical skills
    • Experience with financial accounting standards and reporting
    • Strong knowledge of benefits compliance and reporting requirements, enrollment processes and plan administration
    • Solid understanding of HR business processes, data, systems and their interdependencies
    • Experience with business partnering, consulting, and influencing stakeholders across all levels of the organization
    • Comfortable operating in an open environment where transparency and direct interaction with associates across Global locations is expected
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong attention to detail. Ability to lead group meetings and presentations to variety of audience is essential.
    • Systems, processes, and technology savvy – Workday experience is a plus
