    HANDS WILL GET DIRTY, THIS IS NOT A "DESK JOB"...WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WITH SHOP EXPERIENCE IN A MANUFACTURING COMPANY.*

    As Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for the sourcing of materials, products and services while also managing vendors. Applicant must communicate efficiently and have strong organizational skills

    JOB DUTIES:

    • Purchase of materials, hardware items, finishing services, and expensed items required to support manufacturing and sales
    • Organize supplier meetings and visits when necessary
    • Will work closely with the Production Manager and Quality Department daily
    • Manage daily operations such as buying, quoting, and planning of materials
      • Manage supplier accounts and communicates price, quality and service issues
      • Weekly updates in meetings regarding delivery patterns
        • Creating and updating vendor report cards
    • Responsible for the development of purchasing personnel
    • Creating reports for best purchasing patterns (Per job, weekly, monthly, quarterly, etc.)
    • Weekly reports with CEO detailing Inventory control
    • Stay up to date with business situations and economic conditions to make informed decisions and adequately address changing material requirements

    SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

    · At least 5 years of sourcing and supply chain management experience in a manufacturing environment

    · Excellent oral and written communication skills required to effectively interface at all levels in the organization

    · Tact and a high degree of judgment are required to discharge duties within and outside the company

    · The ideal candidate should have a proven record of organization, planning skills, purchasing, decision making, problem solving/analysis and successful negotiating experience

    · Ability to purchase material that meets specifications and understand coating specification requirements

    · Proficient with word processing and Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel knowledge.

     

    EDUCATION OR EXPERIENCE:

    · Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (Required)

    · Purchasing: 3 years (Preferred)

    · United States Work Authorization (Required)
