    Job Description

    M-F 8am-4:30pm; 1-2 Saturdays/month from 9am-3pm Working Saturday results in a different day off within the work week Job Responsibilities: Customer Service: In-Person/Phone/Written Communication Daily, weekly, and monthly bookkeeping practices Accounts Payable Accounts Receivable & Associated Billing Including ACH Processing Receipts & Deposits Monthly Reconciliation of Bank and Credit Card Accounts Manual Timecard Calculations Reception Area Tidiness – light cleaning/vacuuming as needed Marker/Monument Ordering, Tracking & Processing (as needed) Must be willing and able to learn and execute the niche, lot, marker & monument sale process Cemetery Mapping Software Data Entry Investment account statement processing and associated journal entries Annual Audit Prep & Processing Interment scheduling Must be available Thursday through Monday of Memorial Day Weekend every year. Must be able to work 1 or 2 Saturdays/month as needed from 9am-3pm. Financial Reports: Prepares Monthly Budget for Management Review Prepares Quarterly Balance Sheet for Management Review Maintains Monthly Report Binder/File for operations and investments Orders office supplies as needed or requested Supports General Manager, Sales Staff & Superintendent to ensure all contracts and work orders are completed in a timely manner with proper documentation and recording in cemetery software. Maintains vehicle records/licenses Assures compliance with all company policies and procedures including but not limited to: Investment Accounts, Annual Audit, Hazardous Waste Management, etc. Behaves in a positive and supportive manner to support and enrich the work environment Maintains and updates Customer Records Processes cemetery deeds, quit claim deeds, trust affidavits, etc. Cemetery website and/or social media account updating Updates internal and customer facing forms as requested by management Any additional training and or duties as assigned by management Education: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent; Accounting/Bookkeeping certificate preferred. Experience: 2-5 years of bookkeeping, general office, customer service, clerical, accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable preferred.
