    Job Description

    At Rosenboom, our employees are the number one reason for our success! Our growing company is looking for a talent acquisition specialist to join our team! Position is responsible for working together with team members to successfully manufacture quality hydraulic cylinders. Rosenboom is founded on strong values and commitment to our customers as well as our employees. Position can be located at Spirit Lake or Sheldon, Iowa.

    Position responsibilities include designing, implementing, and maintaining Rosenboom’s recruiting strategy to engage qualified candidates for all vacancies and from all sources. This includes but is not limited to gaining a knowledge and understanding of Rosenboom jobs, building a working relationship with staffing agents and career placement officers, building relationships with middle/ high schools, trade schools, colleges, and universities, establishing and maintaining a media presence, and promoting Rosenboom in the greater communities of its Iowa facilities. Job responsibilities may also include assisting in day-to-day human resources responsibilities.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES[1]:

    • Participates in staffing activities
    • Provides leadership in the design and implementation of Rosenboom’s overall recruiting strategy.
    • Collaborates with Rosenboom leadership and human resources personnel to analyze and project staffing needs.
    • Works with appropriate Rosenboom team members to gain a knowledge and understanding of vacant Rosenboom jobs as necessary to meet the responsibilities of this position.
    • Collaborates with appropriate human resources and leadership personnel to develop, modify, and implement applicant screening and selection processes.
    • Leads and represents Rosenboom in building active working relationships with regional middle/high schools, trade schools, colleges, and universities.
    • Establishing a working relationship with staffing agencies and agents as appropriate to the job vacancy for which such agencies are approved for service.
    • Coordinates recruiting events.
    • Represents Rosenboom at networking and/or community events.
    • Participates in the interview process, as appropriate.
    • Prepares and extends job offers, as appropriate.
    • Assumes responsibility for all related recordkeeping.
    • Builds and maintains a network required to source qualified candidates.
    • Completes staffing reports for both Iowa facilities.
    • Coordinates and administers all aspects of social and traditional media:
    • Provides leadership in the design and implementation of Rosenboom’s media strategy.
    • Collaborates with Rosenboom human resources, leadership, and marketing personnel as appropriate to maintain a media presence and maximize branding efforts.
    • Provides leadership in the development and execution of brand-specific social media strategy leveraging existing and emerging social media platforms.
    • Collaborates with Rosenboom’s marketing team on new recruitment and branding strategies.
    • Creates and designs appropriate and attractive print, electronic, and social media content.
    • Participates in the maintenance of records relating to all human resource activities using required methods of documentation including ISO, Affirmative Action, etc.
    • Analyzes compensation, benefits, and local wage information to evaluate employee market demands.
    • Regular in-person work in all Rosenboom’s Iowa production facilities required.
    • Practices good work habits including, but not limited to, being productive and efficient, staying busy by seeking work, being dependable, and maintaining a clean and organized work area.
    • Represents Rosenboom at work and in the community and whenever in contact with individuals outside of the company by speaking positively of Rosenboom. and its associates.
    • Is a productive member of the organization, is responsible in matters of confidentiality and adheres to all Rosenboom policies.
    • Habits of good attendance and punctuality are an essential responsibility of all Rosenboom job positions.

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in a relative field, preferred.
    • Two years of related work experience, preferred; and,
    • Demonstrated working knowledge of social media trends, required.

    COMPETENCIES:

    • Possesses a foundational knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
    • Understands, communicates, and applies principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, employee retention, and personnel information systems.
    • Understands human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; and learning and motivation theory.
    • Understands manufacturing processes, positions, and workflow.
    • Demonstrates the ability and interest to acquire a foundational knowledge of government regulations and agency rules relative to job responsibilities.
    • Demonstrates the skill or ability to learn Adobe Illustrator and appropriate social media platforms including, but not limited to, Facebook and Instagram.
    • Communicates (speaks, understands, and writes using acceptable format and sentence and paragraph structure) in English.
    • Demonstrates an ability to communicate orally in a clear and positive manner.
    • Demonstrates an ability to generate and maintain accurate and concise written records.
    • Demonstrates an ability to write ads, posts, tweets, blog entries, etc. in a professional and relevant manner.
    • Demonstrates an ability to actively listen.
    • Is honest, fair, tactful, and consistent in dealing with other employees/applicants.
    • Maintains self-control and patience while dealing with employees/applicants and in stressing situations.
    • Is proactive and able to project how decisions and trends may affect the organization; and,
    • Has the ability to keep information confidential.

    TRAINING/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:

    • Valid Driver’s License required.
    • On-site training specific to job responsibilities; and,
    • Continuing education as made available and/or required by Rosenboom.

    PHYSICAL DEMAND:

    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to work at a desk in an office setting.
    • The employee is frequently required to type and write.
    • The employee is frequently required to talk or hear.
    • The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk.
    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to work within a general office setting.
    • Electronic media, telephone, and face-to-face interaction occurs frequently throughout the workday.
    • The noise level in the office work environment is usually quiet but may be moderate when in the production area.
    • The employee will occasionally be exposed to hazardous equipment with high voltage.
    • The job requires working indoors in a controlled and uncontrolled climate.
    • The duties of this job require the familiar use of all required personnel protection equipment.

    OTHER:

    • Job responsibilities includes coordinating direct production staffing.

    • Single day travel regularly required (e.g., job fairs, school visits, etc.).

    • Hours may vary based on events and travel. This includes early mornings and late nights. A flexible schedule is required.

    • Speaks and understands Spanish to the degree of being able to adequately lead a general labor interview in Spanish, preferred not required.

    • Become familiar with department and general plant layout and processes.

    • Employee is expected to work full shifts with the possibility of some extra daily and/or Saturday hours.

    • Commitment to high standards of workmanship and continuous quality improvement is an expectation of all Rosenboom positions.
