    Job Description

    Roseville Dermatology has an opportunity for a full time Grossing/Histotechnologist in our Roseville, California office.

    To join our team, you must have experience with the ability to precisely and accurately perform a variety of routine and specialized histology techniques.

    Duties:

    • ‪Prepare tissue samples by fixing, staining, dying, trimming, and other methods
    • Identify and document technical issues, quality assurance, and procedural improvements
    • Use, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment, and keep a clean, disinfected work space
    • Receive, log, and document patient specimens and accompanying forms

    Qualifications:

    • The person should be certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists as a histotechnician or histotechnologist
    • Experience working in a lab is almost always a must, as this is a critical part of the job

    Job Type:

    • Full-time: Monday – Friday

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 2 years current Histology experience (Required)
    • May consider candidates under with 2 years of experience
    • Mohs Surgery experience is preferred but we will train the right candidate

    Education:

    • AS/BS in Biological/Physical Sciences or equivalent combination of education and experience

    Certifications/Licenses:

    • HT or HTL ASCP certified preferred

    Pay:

    • Pay starts at $24.00 per hour and increases based on years of experience
