    This hybrid role requires trainees to be located near our Support Center in either Akron, Ohio or Dallas, Texas. Some travel may be required.

    The purpose of the Finance & Strategy Rotational Program role is to provide a 12-month rotational experience for entry-level Finance & Strategy Team Members to prepare them for internal auditor, accountant, and financial analyst roles. Trainees will rotate between Internal Audit, Accounting, and Financial Planning & Analysis learning job duties and receiving hands-on, project based experiences. Trainees will also experience a variety of opportunities such as on-the-job experience, classroom training, leadership development, networking opportunities and mentorship.

    This hybrid role requires trainees to be located near our Support Center in either Akron, Ohio or Dallas, Texas. Some travel may be required.

    Major Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

    • Apply skills and knowledge learned through the various rotations to perform the role of internal auditor, accountant, or financial planning analyst.
    • Learn the jewelry industry, especially as it relates to Signet Jewelers, and assist Finance & Strategy teams in all areas they support.
    • Responsible for leading and developing a Capstone project to be presented to Senior Leadership that demonstrates innovation and showcases key skills learned during the program.
    • Work with an assigned Rotational Program Mentor to deepen business and role knowledge while pursuing professional development through hands-on learning.

    Rotation Overview

    Trainees will experience four, 3-month rotations supporting the following areas:

    • Internal Audit
    • Accounting
    • Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis (support center function)
    • Banner Financial Planning & Analysis (store function)

    The ideal candidate:

    • Recent graduate with a Finance major.
    • Eager to continuously learn and able to act independently.
    • Takes a proactive approach and can apply direction and coaching.
    • Self-starter with drive to accomplish goals and focus on quality results.
    • Able to demonstrate leadership skills through previous experiences.
    • Able to identify trends, get to root cause and identify risks and opportunities for improvement related to company objectives and strategic initiatives.
    • Team player who can work in a collaborative manner.
    • Strong written and oral communication skills.
    • Quickly grasps concepts, analyzes data/trends to draws conclusions based on sound judgement.
    • Possesses creative and innovating thinking and can execute in a dynamic, fast paced, and high demand environment.
    • Has executive presence.

    Position Qualifications:

    Education Required:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or other business concentration required.

    Required or Acceptable Job-Related Experience:

    • Accounting, finance, audit or business technology coursework required.
    • Previous accounting or finance experience required through cooperative learning rotation, internship or part-time during school year or summer position required.

    Technical/Other Skills Required:

    • Proven strong written/oral communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to quickly grasp concepts, analyze data and draw conclusions based on sound judgement.
    • Ability to apply creative and innovative thinking.
    • Ability to work independently.
    • Functional in the use of Microsoft Office suite of applications

    The salary range for this opportunity is $55,000-$65,000. Base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job related knowledge, skills and experience, among other factors.
