Roto is searching for experienced woodworkers, painters, metal fabricators, and installers to support our fabrication team as an independent contractor. The independent contractor will build custom interactive exhibits and play spaces for museums, science centers, zoos, aquariums, and similar destinations. We have an immediate need and interest in developing a long-term relationship with fabricators who can be contracted as needed to supplement our capacity.

The scale and scopes of work vary and may span one or more projects. The successful contract candidates will perform work in our shop, using both their own tools and Roto's equipment (as required). As a Fabricator for contract work, you will work collaboratively with Roto's project leads and members of Roto's fabrication team.

The work will be contracted for a specified scope with a set fee and will be completed according to a schedule, with interim milestones for progress, revisions and final delivery.

Have prior fabrication experience

Provide and utilize their own tools

Be able to work safely, in a fast-paced environment

Be able to accurately read shop drawings

Be open to designs and projects that push boundaries; we don't build typical cabinets and structures
