    Roto is currently seeking a Production Assistant to join our team for a 6-month temporary assignment. We have both a part-time and full-time opportunity available for these temporary roles.

    The Production Assistant position requires a hard-working, smart, multi-tasking individual with a good eye for detail and an interest in exhibit design and development. The job includes doing whatever task needs to get done, from product research to compiling budget numbers, from creating Sketch-Up models to editing Illustrator files, from assembling PowerPoint decks to painting, assisting in visitor testing, moving boxes, running errands, and filing. The applicant will assist several staff members and must be able to prioritize tasks while accomplishing them by set deadlines. This is a great opportunity to gain experience with many aspects of Roto’s work and understand the exhibit development process from the inside.

    Qualifications

    1-2 years of work experience; high level of poise and professionalism

    Proficient in Microsoft software including Word, Excel, Outlook

    Strong communication skills

    Familiarity with Sketch-Up and Adobe Creative Suite is a strong plus.

    Able to set and commit to regular work hours, about 22 hours within M- F workweek (for the part-time role)

    Production Assistant candidates for the full-time temporary assignment also provide support to the Admin department. This support includes the timely processing of accounts payables, inclusive of vendor set-up. This role ensures purchase order compliance and manages related vendor agreements. Provides project teams visibility into project purchases and open PO’s. Ensures validity of aged open Purchase Orders. Supports purchasing control audits. Tasked with continual process improvement to improve efficiency of process – both within position, department and for Roto’s employees. Familiarity with Quickbooks (desktop version) is a plus.

    Essential Functions

    Receive and process all vendor, staff and credit card charges timely and accurately

    Ensure vendor set-up and agreements executed prior to payment

    Answer and direct in-coming calls

    Maintain office supplies and office equipment

    Other duties or special projects as assigned
