Roto is seeking a Creative Developer who is passionate about building rich, high end experiences across an array of platforms and installations. This unique opportunity will see you embracing cutting edge technology to bring immersive experiences to museums, science centers, zoos and beyond. Our applications are primarily built using Unity and feature a variety of technologies including AR, VR, environmental sensors, touch displays, gesture recognition and much more. You will be challenged to create dazzling experiences, pushing interactive boundaries to enhance exhibits and delight audiences across the globe.
Essential Functions
Front End development spanning R&D, prototyping and final delivery.
Contribute and review project artifacts including wireframes, architecture maps, hardware specifications and documentation.
Approach the pre-production phase with strong critical and creative thinking.
Share progress through standups, build reviews, and QA testing.
Collaborate with the producers and designers for asset specification.
Integrate assets produced by the design team.
Performance optimization as needed.
Qualifications
Advanced generalist knowledge of Unreal (3 years of experience).
We are also considering Associate level (<3 years of experience) and Senior Level (5+ years of experience) for this role.
Advanced knowledge of C++
Resourceful with the ability to adapt to new APIs and protocols quickly.
Familiarity with Electron, JavaScript, Node.js, and RESTful API endpoints.
Familiarity with computer and networking hardware.
