Tesoro Group is seeking an experienced Roving Maintenance Technician to join their team within their Minneapolis-St. Paul portfolio. The ideal candidate will have 2 years’ experience in residential maintenance (single family homes, duplexes, quads, single family houses), have knowledge of basic maintenance, be self-motivated, be able to organize multiple tasks throughout the day and is self-sufficient. Boilers experience is required, licenses are highly preferred. This role is contracted to hire (90 days before conversion).

This role will be roving to different properties across the entire metro area: New Hope, South St. Paul, Burnsville, Brooklyn Park, Brooklyn Center, Fridley, and a few homes in St. Cloud.

Salary: $25-$32/hour DOQ. This role is contract to hire (90 days before conversion).

Schedule: Monday – Friday standard daytime hours - 8am to 4pm or 9am – 5pm.

As a Maintenance tech you will need to possess the ability to perform repairs in homes including but not limited to HVAC (furnace, boiler systems), appliance repairs, plumbing, light electrical, sheet rock, flooring etc. Candidate needs to be possess the skills to trouble shoot, and solve the problem.

Responsibilities and Job Duties:

• Repair/fix almost anything within a home (this may include some remodeling).
• HVAC repairs (Furnace / Boiler)
• Appliance Repair
• Paint units
• Flooring install
• Complete work orders from city inspections
• Travel to and from job locations / properties throughout the Metro area
• Complete a variety of maintenance work orders throughout the day
• Effectively communicate with tenants
• Prepare properties for new tenants (property turns)
• Motivated self-starter with strong work initiative
• Ability to work independently
• Positive attitude
• Reliable transportation and necessary tools for use on the job

Qualifications and Experience:

• 2 years’ experience in residential maintenance (single family homes, duplexes, quads, houses).
• Knowledge of basic maintenance – preventative maintenance, work orders, unit turns, and general labor.
• Must possess the ability to communicate well with the tenants, solve problems independently, and be very dependable.
• Skills: self-motivated, organize multiple tasks throughout the day and is self-sufficient.
• Boilers experience is required, licenses are highly preferred, but not required.
• Be able to pass a background check before employment.
• Have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation as this role will be roving.
