Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Roving Security Supervisor to oversee security operations across multiple locations. This role ensures the effectiveness of security personnel, compliance with policies and procedures, and the overall safety of assigned sites. The Roving Supervisor acts as a liaison between security officers and management while fostering a professional and positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Supervision & Field Operations
Monitor and oversee security personnel to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
Conduct routine patrols and field inspections (minimum of five per shift).
Ensure security personnel are on-site, clocked in, and fulfilling duties using reporting software (Track Tik).
Address on-site security concerns, including unresponsive personnel, scan point tracking, and system familiarity.
Serve as a liaison between security guards and management, upholding company standards.
Incident Response & Compliance
Respond to security incidents, investigate issues, and coordinate with authorities when necessary.
Document and report all security incidents to the appropriate parties.
Ensure all security personnel comply with company policies, issuing disciplinary action as needed.
Reprimand employees per PGA’s disciplinary policy using Track Tik reporting software.
Training & Development
Conduct on-the-job training for security officers.
Educate personnel on security procedures, equipment, and software systems.
Reinforce emergency preparedness plans and promote safe work practices.
Health, Safety & Team Morale
Maintain a safe work environment, encouraging proper hydration, breaks, and ergonomics.
Identify potential hazards and address them proactively.
Foster a positive work culture, recognizing outstanding officers and preventing a hostile work environment.
Equipment Management
Ensure all security-related equipment (radios, vehicles, tools) is in proper working condition.
Report any malfunctions or equipment replacement needs to the Account Manager.
Expectations & Requirements
Professionalism & Leadership
Demonstrate strong leadership skills and maintain a professional appearance in full PGA uniform.
Be available in person to perform job duties—this is not a remote role.
Clock in at a designated site (not from home or the office).
Operational Efficiency
Answer all calls while on duty.
Ensure all sites are properly manned; if coverage cannot be arranged, the supervisor must fill the shift.
Follow company policies and maintain confidentiality regarding security matters.
Obtain approval from the Account Manager before making company-related purchases (gas, uniforms, meals, etc.).
Qualifications & Skills
Associates Degree (minimum) with courses in law enforcement preferred.
Previous supervisory experience in security or law enforcement preferred.
Strong understanding of security policies, procedures, and emergency response.
Proficiency in security software (Track Tik or similar platforms).
Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills.
Ability to multitask and remain composed in high-pressure situations.
