    The Human Resources Manager provides leadership and oversees the overall HR strategy, participating as a strategic business partner in the development and management of programs that will drive business success while allowing employees to realize their full potential. As part of Royal’s leadership team, the HR Manager is responsible for directly supporting the business with specific focus on optimizing engagement, productivity, and effectiveness of Royal’s human resources. This position is responsible for managing the consistent delivery of HR solutions, including talent planning and acquisition, performance assessment and management, compensation planning, benefits processing, employee relations, employee safety, legal compliance, culture initiatives, and the overall employee experience. As a leadership role, the HR Manager’s responsibility may also include but may not be limited to oversight and direction of initiatives relating to process training, employee relations, performance management, compensation planning, and employee engagement. This is a hands-on position which also includes several administrative functions including benefits processing, and legal compliance. The HR Manager must demonstrate and reflect Royal’s Core Values and ensure that all departmental employees also maintain minimum Core Value and GWC standards. REQUIRED COMPETENCIES: • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite with an ability to interface with scheduling, ERP/MRP, and various reporting systems • Ability to assist in the implementation of a company HRIS • Intermediate to advanced math skills • Advanced writing and overall communication skills • Strong analytical capabilities and a data driven approach • Must be focused, self-motivated, driven, and “part of the solution” when facing problems or adversity • Must be able to actively participate in Safety, QMS, LSS, and 5S initiatives if required • Having an ability to work collaboratively as well as individually is critical • Must be flexible and able to perform other functions in the facility as we work in a dynamic, made-to-order environment with constantly changing customer demands on staff and other resources • Must be able to work an alternate shift from time to time • Bilingual (English and Spanish) a plus Physical Required Competencies: • Ability to sit, walk, and stand for extended periods of time • Able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment when on the shop floor • Must be able to withstand shop elements such as heat, noise, odors, and dust PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or combination of education and progressive experience with PHR or SPHR certification preferred. • HR experience with large non-exempt population in manufacturing environment • Broad exposure to all Human Resource functions including workforce planning, organizational development, employee attraction, recruiting and retention, compensation planning, payroll, benefits management and administration, culture development, and change management. • Proven experience in leadership development and diversity initiatives. • Change management experience, specifically managing change within a growing organization • In-depth understanding of labor regulations (federal, state, and local), current HR trends, and best practices. Job Specific Expectations (Ideal): • High proficiency in MS Office applications and MS Dynamics GP. • Facilitate and coordinate projects as needed to support departmental growth and improvement. • Effective in the creation of timely and meaningful reports for the purpose of strategic and tactical planning that effectively convey critical information to upper management. • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; apply this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to Senior Management. • Business and Financial acumen; ability to understand and contribute to broader business strategy and decisions while appropriately linking HR strategies and programs to support the success of the business.
