WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE
JOB SUMMARY:
THE WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE'S major job is to prepare, process, and transfer items in a productive, safe, and correct manner in accordance with specified production rates and norms. To meet business and operational demands, associates will be cross-trained to execute a range of roles in multiple departments.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Receive and process products, including selecting, packing, preparing, and shipping orders and returns, as well as load and unload trailers, in accordance with corporate and industry-standard operating standards.
- To promote a safe work environment, follow all business, state, municipal, and OSHA safety laws, policies, and regulations; quickly report any suspected violations to the appropriate supervisor/manager.
- Prepare reports by entering data.
- Follow all business policies, processes, standards, and recommendations, particularly those concerning accuracy and productivity.
- Provide excellent internal and external customer service, which includes engaging with vendors and other associates/locations to resolve conflicts and ensure compliance.
- Maintain company-mandated regular and acceptable attendance, as well as dress code standards.
- Process and transfer items according to defined production rates, standards, and norms in a productive, safe, and correct manner.
- Maintain a flexible work schedule and follow the company's policy of working any specified shift and overtime as needed.
- Complete the section on knowledge, skills, and abilities. Work in accordance with the sections on Working Conditions and Physical Requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of and ability to implement rules, processes, standards, and recommendations.
- Ability to do specified duties with little supervision in a timely and correct way.
- Ability to take guidance from supervisors/managers and other corporate workers, comprehend it, and act on it.
- Ability to operate as part of a group and successfully communicate with others.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced atmosphere while completing many projects within set deadlines.
- Ability to finish company training programs satisfactorily and to be cross-trained in at least two areas.
- Basic arithmetic and reading abilities, as well as legible handwriting and computer use, are required.
- Ability to use numerous frequency devices, portable scanners, and other high-powered equipment as needed.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Working in a multi-level setting, including ascending stairs, is a must.
- For the duration of the scheduled shift, you must be able to stand and/or walk (at least 12 hours).
- Ability to work extra on a regular basis to support the business's cyclical nature (may entail a shift longer than 12 hours).
- Ability to often squat, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, twist, reach, lift, push, and pull
- Must be able to lift and move things weighing up to 30 pounds on a regular basis, up to 50 pounds on occasion, and above 50 pounds with a two-person lift.
- Wearing a face mask or covering, as well as other personal protection equipment (PPE).
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- In warehouse environments, workers are exposed to noise as well as moderate but variable temperatures, humidity, and other factors.
- Biometric equipment is used by the Company for a variety of functions, including timekeeping, access, secure entry/exit, temperature/wellness assessments, and other business processes.
