The company is a non-profit organization based in Portland, Oregon, that employs over 700 individuals throughout the Pacific Northwest. Their services include cleaning, landscaping, document services, supply chain solutions, and affordable housing management. They add value to the community by providing their clients with high-quality services, decent employment for their staff, and affordable housing for local inhabitants. Currently, they are looking for skilled janitors to join their fantastic "Cleaning Team".

JANITOR

By becoming a Janitor, you will join a team that proudly keeps the facilities and shared spaces in our communities clean, safely, and effectively.

A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A JANITOR

• Touchpoints should be disinfected and surfaces should be cleaned.
• Make sure the entire restrooms and terminals are clean, including the furnishings, glass, and outdoor cleaning.
• Vacuuming, daily carpet spotting, sweeping, and mopping are examples of fundamental floor maintenance duties.
• Verify that all equipment is in excellent and safe functioning order.
• Dust, empty trash cans, restock restrooms, and clean walls, windows, and surfaces.
• Discuss inventory requirements with the supervisor.

WAGES START AT $15.75/HR, INCREASING TO $16.75/HR AFTER COMPLETING 1,040 HOURS.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

• A can-do attitude and team spirit!
• One year of experience as a janitor, housekeeper, or other cleaning role is helpful
• The ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen 
• Walk and stand for long periods
• Perform work that includes lifting items to 20 lbs., carrying, bending, and pulling
• Speak and understand Basic English
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and independent decision-making
