    We operate heavy equipment in our gravel pits, heavy trucks and trailers to haul our aggregate, and ready mix trucks for our batch plants. We have a yard in Williston with shop space to work on any trucks as needed.

    As part of this job, must have a Class B CDL to driver our service truck and the job would include heavy equipment and truck repairs, aggregate crushing equipment repairs, some engine work, PMs and servicing of equipment, etc. Must have your own tools. Caterpillar, Detroit, Komatsu and Cummins Engine experience preferred. Expectations of our mechanics are stringent and we require they act in a professional manner at all times.     Job Description:

    • Fabricates, constructs, installs, and repairs equipment and machinery
    • Diagnoses equipment problems and determines repairs needed
    • Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, and streamline work processes
    • Performs daily safety and maintenance checks
    • Repairs, overhauls, maintains, and services diesel powered vehicles, heavy trucks and heavy equipment
    • Repairs, overhauls, maintains and services fuel injection systems, exhaust systems, cooling systems, air conditioning systems, lubrication systems, engine control systems, some major internal engine repairs or overhaul.
    • Repairs, overhauls, maintains and services drive trains and final drives, hydraulic transmissions, power take-offs, tracked vehicle suspensions and steering, vehicle brake systems, wheel-mounted vehicle suspension and steering
    • Practices workplace safety

    Knowledge:

    • Knowledge of truck and equipment safety
    • Knowledge of operation of diesel truck, ready mix trucks experience a plus, front end loaders, excavators, crushers, and other equipment.
    • Knowledge of workplace safety requirements and procedures
    • Knowledge of record keeping systems
    • Knowledge of equipment cleaning standards and procedures

    Skills:

    • Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
    • Determine extent of repair required
    • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
    • Test repaired equipment for proper performance
    • Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work
    • Analytical and problem solving skills
    • Decision making skills
    • Effective verbal and listening communications skills
    • Ability to read and write to keep daily records including maintenance reports and documentation

    Requirements:

    • Willingness to work varied shift hours and overtime as needed

    • Drug and Alcohol Testing as required

    • Valid Unrestricted Drivers License with clean drivers abstract ( CDL class B preferred)

    • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work under pressure
