    Position Summary:
    The Rubber Mill Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining the rubber mill equipment used in the mixing and processing of raw rubber materials. This role ensures that production schedules are met while maintaining the highest quality standards for the rubber products. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Rubber Mixing: Operate rubber mill machinery to blend rubber compounds, ensuring proper mixture consistency according to specifications.

    • Material Handling: Load raw materials such as rubber, chemicals, and additives into the mill according to the production requirements.

    • Equipment Maintenance: Perform regular inspections, cleaning, and basic maintenance on rubber mill equipment to ensure optimal performance.

    • Production Monitoring: Monitor production lines, troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the milling process, and make necessary adjustments.

    • Quality Control: Conduct routine checks of the rubber mixture for quality and consistency. Ensure that materials meet the required specifications before further processing.

    • Record Keeping: Accurately log production data, including batch numbers, material types, and quantities, for inventory control and quality assurance purposes.

    • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safe operating procedures.

    • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including machine operators, supervisors, and quality control personnel, to meet daily production goals.

    Qualifications:

    • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in manufacturing or a related field is a plus.

    • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Rubber Mill Operator or in a similar manufacturing role. Experience with rubber compounding and mixing is preferred.

    • Skills:

    • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate complex machinery.

    • Basic knowledge of rubber types, additives, and processing methods.

    • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions.

    • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

    • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

    Work Environment and Physical Demands

    • Exposure to manufacturing environment preferred.

    • Wear protective safety equipment

    • May be exposed to possible shop hazards including heaving machinery, fumes, dust, heat and high pressure and temperatures.

    • Stooping, bending, walking and standing for the duration of work shift

    • Comfortable standing for long periods and performing repetitive tasks.

    • Must be able to lift at least 50lbs

    • Manual Dexterity

    • Follow all safety guidelines to ensure personal and team safety.
