We are looking for employees with the ability to trim and clean finished rubber seals. This role is key to our manufacturing success as your precision will contribute to the seals and their function. Our seals are used around the world providing clean water to people as our seals are used in the water pipes making sure that the water is not contaminated and stays clean as it travels to their destination. This role works 10 hours shifts with potential of overtime.
What You'll Do
Carefully cut off extra rubber (like thin edges or leftover pieces) from rubber parts/seals using hand tools (such as knives, scissors, or clippers) or trimming machines, as you're shown.
Check the trimmed parts/rubber seals closely for any mistakes (like cuts, tears, or rough spots) and tell your supervisor right away if you find any.
Work to meet our daily production goals and quality standards.
Keep accurate records of how many parts/ rubber seals you've trimmed and any that had to be thrown away.
Do basic upkeep on the trimming tools and machines when needed.
Help with other production tasks as your supervisor asks (like sorting, packing, or moving materials).
Follow all work instructions and standard ways of doing things.
Always follow all safety rules, including wearing your safety gear (PPE).
Keep your work area clean and tidy, making sure to properly throw away the trimmed rubber waste.
What We're Looking For
High school diploma or similar education is a plus but not required. We'll teach you everything you need to know for the job!
Able to use hand tools safely and well.
Good with your hands, able to do detailed work and coordinate your hand and eye movements.
Excellent at focusing on small details and committed to making high-quality products.
Able to follow directions and work by yourself or with others.
Good at talking and listening.
Knows basic safety rules and what safety gear to wear.
What It's Like to Work Here (Physical Demands & Work Environment)
This is a full-time job in a busy factory. You should be comfortable with:
Standing 10hours or more depending on shift.
Lifting and carrying things up to 50 pounds.
Using your hands for detailed work, especially precise and repeated movements of your hands and wrists, sometimes in a circular motion, to perfectly trim rubber seals.
Wearing all the required safety gear (like gloves, safety glasses, and ear protection).
Being around typical factory conditions such as loud machines, fumes, dust, heat, high pressure, and different temperatures.
