RM&N, located in Winter Park, FL, is currently seeking a full time staff accountant with 3+ years of public accounting experience with emphasis in the tax area. Responsibilities: * Preparation of Partnership, S corporations and C corporations tax returns * Preparation of multi-state Individual and business tax returns * Preparation of more advanced Individuals returns * Assist on IRS Tax audits on an as needed basis * Contribute ideas and recommendations to improve firm's processes and operations. * Preparation of compiled financial statements * Assist on audit and review engagements in accordance with audit and review standards Qualifications: * Previous experience in public accounting required * CPA license or actively pursuing * Master's Degree a plus * Experience with current computer accounting programs and reporting tools * Good communications skills * Detail and deadline-oriented * Strong analytical and problem solving skills * Fundamental knowledge of GAAP Benefits: * Medical * Dental * Vision * SIMPLE IRA retirement plan * Work life balance - January to mid-February 40 hour work week, mid-February to mid-April 55 hour work week and mid-April through end of year half day Fridays. * Training - personal attention and training from each of our partners offers our professional staff development opportunities not typically found in larger firms * Emphasis on honesty, integrity, work quality and team work * Firm pays for CPE approved courses, CPA license renewals, AICPA, FICPA, PTIN and necessary membership and dues * Excellent opportunity for advancement and ownership Company Description Ruggiero, Martinez & Norton, P.A. has been serving clients across Central Florida from our Winter Park office since 1989.
