Part-time retail sales position immediately available (approx. 20-24 hrs./week) in our family owned/operated rug store in Carrollwood (N. Tampa). Ideal job for current college student. Hours/Schedule: Flexible hours when needed, but job requires working (Friday (10am-6pm), Saturday (10am-6pm), and Sunday (12pm-4pm); if available and want extra hours, also Thursday (2pm-6pm); willing to adjust schedule around school vacation, exams, etc. Responsibilities and Requirements: Candidate should be working towards or currently have a 4 year college degree; Employee will assist customers in finding and purchasing area rugs in a family owned and operated retail environment; Experience working in retail, particularly design and/or home furnishings preferred, but not required; Must be a self-motivated individual - no one works on commission; There is physical activity required when working with area rugs - lifting, unpacking, bending over, etc; Organize store displays and keep store looking presentable; Cleaning and vacuuming to prepare rugs for customers and for display; Assist in unpacking rugs to prepare them to be displayed; General office duties include making/receiving telephone calls, filing, scheduling/follow-up with customers regarding orders and rug cleanings; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Professional appearance; Computer literate; Polite and customer oriented; Sense of responsibility; Positive attitude, patient and enthusiastic demeanor; Comfortable using social media - may be asked to help maintain social media accounts; May be asked to assist with new e-commerce website.
