Why the name – The Grove Bible Chapel?

Rich in symbolism, a grove is a collection of fruit-bearing trees, of varying sizes and stages, which mutually benefit one another as they produce a harvest for the owner of the grove. With a desire to be firmly rooted in the rich soil of the Word of God, may He be glorified as we, at the Grove Bible Chapel, grow and mature alongside on another, worshipping, walking and serving together.

MISSION

The mission of The Grove Bible Chapel is to glorify God through the fulfillment of the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20) in the spirit of the Great Commandment (Matthew 22:37-39). This is fulfilled as disciples of Jesus Christ are made. God is glorified as we manifest His presence in doing so (2 Timothy 2:2; 1 Corinthians 10:31).

ABOUT THIS ROLE

The Children’s Ministry Leader will lead the Children’s Ministry (birth – 5th grade) of The Grove Bible Chapel. He or she will be directly overseen by the Executive Leadership Team. The primary role of this position is to coordinate daily, weekly, and monthly tasks that are critical to the growth, development, care and maintenance of the Children’s Ministry.

Essential Roles & Responsibilities:

• Uphold the Mission and Vision of The Grove Bible Chapel.
• Work as Children’s Ministry Leader.
• Build and develop the Children’s Ministry which consists of committed and gifted volunteers.
• Teach during the large group time and involve other teachers as appropriate.
• Service planning with worship department during children’s events.
• Create, coordinate, and implement curriculum for The Grove Kids.
• Oversee all Special Events (example VBS) during the ministry year.
• Provide oversight of Children’s Ministry staff.
• Disciple, lead, and train existing volunteers for effective ministry within The Grove Kids.
• Identify, equip and develop new volunteers for effective ministry within The Grove Kids.
• Coordinate meetings for team members that include teacher training and opportunities for spiritual growth.
• Develop and implement strategy for whole-family discipleship; working with families to equip and empower parents/families to disciple their children.
• Communicate and implement the church’s approved safety policy and regularly evaluate its use and take necessary steps to put the policy into practice.
• Assist in the development of an annual departmental budget and manage spending to budget.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s Degree and/or Seminary Degree preferred
