Position Overview: Rural Mutual is seeking an Application Development Supervisor with a strong background in Microsoft .NET technologies and web development. In this role, you will lead a team of developers, providing technical guidance and support, while actively contributing to development tasks. Responsibilities: • Lead and mentor a team of developers, fostering a culture of excellence, creativity, and collaboration. • Provide technical guidance and support to team members, assisting with problem-solving and decision-making. • Conduct regular code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and maintain high-quality standards. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize and deliver web development projects on time and within scope. • Actively participate in development tasks using Microsoft .NET technologies, including C# and VB.NET, as well as web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like ASP.NET and Angular. • Stay abreast of industry trends and technologies, advocating for the adoption of new tools and practices as needed. • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within the development team. • Cultivate a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes employee well-being. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related work experience. • 5+ years of software development experience, with expertise in Microsoft .NET technologies including C#, VB.NET, and web development. • 3+ years of supervisory experience preferred. • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate team members. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. • Experience with web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like ASP.NET and Angular. • Proficiency in Azure DevOps for project management and source control. • Demonstrated ability to balance supervisory responsibilities with hands-on development tasks. • Ability to thrive in a flexible work environment and maintain a healthy work-life balance. Compensation: $110,000 - $125,000 yearly BOE
