Position offers the opportunity to work remotely anywhere in the state of Wisconsin. Responsibilities: • Underwrite the commercial renewal book of business. Analyze profitability, coverages, classifications and changes in operations. Make decisions on pricing and changes in terms. Instruct support staff and Customer Service Unit on required items such as unilateral letters needed and renewal changes. • Analyze and accept or reject late premium payments, review and sign certified policies and review and answer Wisconsin Compensation Rating Bureau’s communique. • Respond to questions and policy referrals from CSU and Claims. • Communicate with agents, policyholders and other underwriters to obtain information and respond to questions related to underwriting. • Handle change requests for renewals, as well as certain midterm change requests as instructed by management. • Complete peer review audits as instructed by management. • Handle renewal diary items as directed by management. Qualifications: • Three years of property and casualty commercial underwriting experience preferred. • Bachelor’s degree in risk management, insurance, business administration or equivalent work experience. • Effective communication skills. • Self-starter with demonstrated ability to work independently. • Basic computer skills. • Additional education in CPCU or other industry-related fields preferred. • Bilingual abilities (Spanish, Hmong, etc) a plus. Compensation: $60,000 - $70,000 yearly based on experience
