    We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer who will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to support the current commercial release of the Monarch Endoscopy Platform. Candidates must be self-motivated and have an eagerness to solve problems in fast paced environment. 

    Core Job Responsibilities

    • Developing novel patient-side devices to support new endoscopic procedures
    • Product development support for the Monarch Endoscopy Platform
    • Machine & system design, rapid prototyping, brainstorming, developing requirements, project management, vendor management, testing, troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
    • Create design solutions which utilize engineering methods with good documentation processes and be able to release design documentation through an ECO process.
    • Collaborate with other team members (manufacturing, electrical, software, mechanical, imaging, system, clinical, and quality) to solve complex, system-level design challenges.
    • Provide excellent communication of technical and program level issues as they arise to support the needs of the entire product development team.
    • Conduct all work within the guidelines of the Auris Quality Management System.

    Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

    • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with over 6 years of experience in developing system hardware or capital equipment is required.
    • Experience in SolidWorks (preferred), PDM, and PLM
    • Strong understanding of fabrication methods including machining, sheet metal, rapid prototyping, sand casting and molding.
    • Hands-on troubleshooting and engineering with the proven ability to work well in a team environment.
    • Analysis skills, including statics, dynamics, strength of materials and stress analysis.
    • Experience with all phases of product development lifecycle including design, implementation, debug, verification & validation, qualification, and transfer to manufacturing is preferred.
    • An approachable individual who provides a high level of teamwork and cross-functional collaboration.
    • Previous experience in developing Medical Devices to adhere to IEC60601-1 is preferred
