    Summary

    Support the design and development of new products and improve existing product lines to meet company objectives. Critical attributes and skills include creativity, initiative, ability to prioritize and negotiate priorities, hands on approach, and multi-tasking.

    Essential Job Responsibilities

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily:

    • Support the design and develop new product design iterations/

    • Investigate benefits and features of different materials and design concepts. Recommend

      changes/modifications based on results.

    • Create and maintain accurate documentation of product concepts, drawing requirements in

      coordination with the Quality Assurance and Manufacturing functions.

    • Develop and author verification/validation protocols and notebook studies.

    • Initiate and coordinate work with outside vendors and internal personnel including material

      procurement and testing.

    • Support the plan and schedule projects in a manner consistent with corporate objective


    R&D Engineer R&D/ Engineering VP of R&D


    • Contribute to the intellectual property position of the company with support of inventions and patent applications

    • Support of animal trials and clinical cases through builds and product release testing.

    • Complete accurate and timely preventive maintenance of equipment and tooling.

    • GMP compliance in coordination with the Document Control, R&D, and Quality Assurance functions

    • Complies with established Company and departmental policies and procedures, objectives,

      quality assurance program, safety, and environmental standards.

    • Other duties as assigned; as an emerging growth company it may be required from time to

      time to assist in other areas other than the area of specialty.

    • GMP compliance in coordination with the Document Control, R&D, and Quality Assurance functions

      FDA regulations

    • Special projects will require extended work hours and some travel may be required.

      Education & Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in technical field (Preferably an Engineering field)

    • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    • Working knowledge of inspection tools such as: calipers, micrometers, snap gage, microscope, tensile

      tester, VIS, and pin gages.

    • Understanding of Solidworks, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other office software programs.
