    We are looking for a high-energy, hands-on Operations Manager who will enable us to scale while becoming more efficient and managing our costs. As the new owner of our Operations pillar, you bring a deep understanding of productivity, organization, process / SOPs, and a suite of best practices you’ve learned in your previous roles. You are a natural leader of people, and you are adept at mobilizing their efforts to drive Company initiatives. You have experience/familiarity with the nuances of working with live products (we sell plants and products with plants on them) and supervising agriculture and warehouse workers. To succeed, you must be able to thrive in Both: (1) An Entrepreneurial Environment – where we currently are. This means you may need to create and establish certain processes and procedures from scratch where missing and train laborers to follow them (i.e. You create the playbook). And (2) A Middle-Market Operation – where we are going. This means you are able to step back, re-evaluate conditions, make changes where appropriate, and continually strive to capture further efficiencies and cost savings (i.e. You improve the playbook). Responsibilities: • Prior supervisory, leadership and team-building experience is a must • Exceptional interpersonal skills and communication • Highly experienced with training, motivating, and overseeing laborers • Ability to instruct assembly workers on more efficient ways to prep and assemble products • Comfort with coordination with other internal departments (example: Sales & Marketing) • Professional communication (oral and written) with external customers Qualifications: Process expertise • Owns inventory coming in, on-time production, overall quality control, and on-time fulfillment • Improve profitability by implementing labor best practices across product assembly, warehouse, and production (nursery) departments • Create and improve systems & processes that can be followed by laborers • Constantly iterate and implement changes to get to optimal product flow • Ensures top Customer Service for fulfillment is in place, maintained, and improved • Experience with new product development, feasibility, and sourcing from overseas vendors is a big plus Technical requirements • Experience with inventory and warehouse management • Strong know-how of shipping and packaging best practices • Knowledge of basic facility management and maintenance • Fluency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite • Experience with live products ( Plants ) • Experience with E-Com a plus Other • Contagiously positive attitude • Able to prioritize competing demands and drive key initiatives with a sense of urgency • Strong attention to detail required • Passion for plants, nature, and home décor a big plus • Military veterans strongly encouraged to apply Compensation: $75,000 - $85,000 yearly
