    Salary: $100,000-$115,000 (based on skills and abilities)

    Controller Role:

    As a Controller, you will be responsible for the organizations’ financial planning, working with leadership to set financial metrics, goals and strategize through inventory cost-reduction programs to improve overall organization performance. In this role, you will provide business insight and recommendations and ensure proper internal controls and procedures are established and followed. In this position you will be responsible for the evaluation of cash flow, general ledgers, cash reconciliation, budgets, and balance sheets. As a private equity backed company, there is significant opportunity for continued growth working with a highly experienced Board of Directors with resources to grow the business.

    Controller Responsibilities:

    • Record journal entries to accurately reflect financial transactions
    • Prepare General Ledger account reconciliations ensuring accounting book accuracy
    • Develop, improve and issue timely financial records for the management team, ensuring that financial information is accurate, meaningful, timely and in conformance with GAAP and company policies
    • Monitor and manage cash flow and balance bank reconciliation
    • Oversee the month-end close process and results analysis including reconciliations
    • Track annual budget performance monthly and work with the Management team on identifying opportunities for cost reduction initiatives
    • Ensure timely collections of accounts receivable
    • Assess current accounting operations, develop recommendations for improvement and implement new processes
    • Manage company payroll, employee benefits and human resources
    • Assist in implementation of ERP system
    • Participate in annual physical inventories; Has overall responsibility for ensuring inventory is reported accurately in ERP system and ultimate financial impact to organization

    Reporting Relationships:

    In this position you will report to the CEO.

    About You:

    • 7-10 years’ experience in an Accounting Manager or Controller position managing full-cycle accounting
    • Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred or combination of experience
    • CPA certification preferred, not required
    • Experience with tax reporting and filing
    • Experience implementing ERP systems is highly valued
    • Experience working/overseeing with inventory management, benefits analysis, and payroll
    • Ability to be flexible and adapt to new and different situations
    • Must have strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills that would allow the candidate to contribute in a team environment to accomplish the goals of the team supporting the overall company goals
