    Rust Belt Recruiting, in partnership with our Client, is looking for a Direct Hire Quality Technician to start ASAP!

    Hours - 1st shift (6a-230p)

    General Description 

    We are looking for a Quality Inspector with exceptional shop math skills and who is well versed in using manual quality inspection tools. This person will be able to compute fractions, decimals, geometry, and trigonometry like a pro. The Quality Inspector will be responsible for maintaining acceptable quality levels during production, perform receiving, 1st piece and in-process inspections for work in process, and verify and document that materials are manufactured to customer-supplied blueprints.

    Job Functions

    • Read and interpret blueprints and specifications
    • Measure and document part dimensions
    • Maintain company quality systems
    • Follow written and oral instructions
    • Follow all company safety and operations policies

    Requirements

    • Working knowledge of shop mathematics, trigonometry and computers
    • Proficiency with micrometers, digital and dial calipers, height gauges, gauge pins, protractors, hardness testers and optical comparators
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
    • Detail oriented, organized and able to handle multiple tasks
    • Ability to work independently
    • Experience in a manufacturing environment with an ISO9001 quality system preferred
    • High school diploma or GED equivalent
    • Self-starter who will use time efficiently, maintain productivity and be dependable
    • Ability to communicate, perform job duties and read/comprehend in English
    • Thorough and detail-oriented
