    Title: Mechanical Maintenance Technician

    Shift: 1st Shift

    Salary: $25.00-$28.00+/hr (flexible, depends on experience)

    Location: Cleveland, OH

    Who we are:

    Our client is dedicated to providing quality air moving equipment (fans and blowers) to HVAC&R markets around the world.

    Mechanical Maintenance Technician Role:

    Maintain, repair, and fabricate a variety of machines, equipment and building systems.

    Mechanical Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:

    • Work from MLS work orders and record labor and inventory transactions in MLS.
    • Disassemble, repair or replace worn or defective parts or mechanisms and reassemble machinery and equipment such as punch presses, shear, lathe, drill press, balancers. welders, saws, grinders, milling machines, conveyors, air compressors and other equipment operated in the plant.
    • Fabricate and prepare new equipment or modify old equipment.
    • Perform plant rearrangement including setting up and moving rack systems, running air, gas, and water lines and other tasks associated with plant layout.
    • Perform preventative maintenance as instructed by supervisor.
    • Repair and maintain plant systems including air and plumbing.
    • Fabricate or prepare foundations for machinery and/or equipment.
    • Repair or replace guards and other safety devices.
    • Perform minor servicing of forklifts.
    • Provide assistance as needed to the Electrician.
    • Operate a forklift or man lift as required; use care to lift and balance loads properly; operate equipment in a safe manner.
    • Operate floor cleaning equipment; perform upkeep and maintenance of lawn areas and sidewalks; shovel snow.
    • Exercise proper care in the use of tools, equipment and materials.
    • Complete required reports and records.
    • Detect and report faulty equipment, defective material, improper operations and unusual conditions to supervision.
    • Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition.

    About You:

    • 2-4 years of experience in industrial maintenance
    • Strong mechanical knowledge and some knowledge of basic electric
    • Previous experience working with presses, hydraulic/pneumatics
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
