    SUMMARY:  Supervise our Martinsburg distribution facility to ensure the delivery of paint and related products by organizing and executing the shift work schedule (as dictated via the plan), maintaining a safe, efficient, and organized working environment, and providing leadership/guidance to all shift personnel.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Prepare and manage departmental budgets.
    • Supervise the activities of workers engaged in receiving, storing, testing, and shipping products or materials.
    • Interview, select, and train warehouse and supervisory personnel.
    • Plan, develop, and implement warehouse safety and security programs and activities.
    • Prepare or direct preparation of correspondence, reports, and operations, maintenance, and safety manuals.
    • Issue shipping instructions and provide routing information to ensure that delivery times and locations are coordinated.
    • Confer with peers to coordinate warehouse activities, such as production, sales, records control, and purchasing.
    • Review invoices, work orders, consumption reports, and demand forecasts to estimate peak delivery periods and to issue work assignments.
    • Inspect physical conditions of warehouses, vehicle fleets and equipment, and order testing, maintenance, repair, or replacement as necessary.
    • Schedule and monitor air or surface pickup, delivery, or distribution of products or materials.

    Required Skills Required Experience

     

    • BS Engineering, industrial technology, or business management
    • 2-4 years of management experience in distribution/chemical processing environment
    • Ability to supervise/manage diverse group of associates and crew leaders
    • Train/coordinate teams to achieve high levels of productivity, quality and safety performance
    • Good written and verbal communication skills
    • Good computer skills
    • Proven abilities to successfully drive continuous improvement, manage multiple priorities and multitask
    • Ability to work well with other peer groups
    • Knowledge of industrial safety regulations
  • Qualifications

     

    • BS Engineering, industrial technology, or business management or equivalent
    • 2-4 years of management experience in distribution/chemical processing environment
    • Ability to supervise/manage diverse group of associates and crew leaders
    • Train/coordinate teams to achieve high levels of productivity, quality and safety performance
    • Good written and verbal communication skills

    Additional Consideration Given to Those With: 

    • Exposure to quality programs
    • Paint/Coatings/chemical industry knowledge or experience
    • Experience with a continuous process discipline such as Six Sigma/Lean/TQM manufacturing environment
    • Previous experience with safety programs
