    Halfaker has an opening for a SENIOR PRINCIPAL INFRASTRUCTURE ARCHITECT (TEAM LEAD) to join our talented, dynamic team. The key responsibilities for this position include:

     

    • Lead a team designing, supporting, installing, and maintaining the client hosted cloud servers and environments
    • Manage and maintain operations for a cross-functional team tasked with maintaining a 99.999% operational capacity
    • Develop plans to maintain ATO, account for license utilization, execute COOP and DR, install new functionality and patches, address fixes, backup essential architectures and data
    • Create and update SOPs, Server Responsibility Matrices, asset management plans, production operations manuals
    • Provide weekly status reports to VA staff and the clients leadership team stakeholders on Infrastructure activities
    • Brief executive team on progress, updates, status, and next steps

    Required Skills

    • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) version 3 Foundations certification
    • Excellent writing skills
    • Excellent oral communication and presentation skills
    • Highly motivated
    • Ability to take initiative
    • Ability to delegate work appropriately and manage time effectively for self and others
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Excellent attention to detail
    • Highly analytical; proven problem-solving abilities
    • Willingness and enthusiasm to learn new skills, new client environments, and grow domain expertise
    • Ability to learn quickly
    • Ability to conduct independent research to lead or support the resolution of complex questions and issues
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting

    Required Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in IT, IT Management, or Computer Science desired; 4 years of relevant experience with applicable certifications (ITIL, Project+, PMP, or similar IT certifications) in one of these areas will suffice
    • Twelve years of experience in increasing technical management support leading teams of 4-8 or more
    • Demonstrated experience planning and managing multiple simultaneous technical tasks
    • Must be able to successfully undergo a Veterans Affairs High Security Investigation (VA BI)
