    JOB DESCRIPTION. Construction Estimator Junior. Join a fast-growing company focused on providing construction services to the Public Sector and Government. Our projects are in several states and they are typically prevailing wage. At the present time, we are dedicated to bidding on projects as a small prime contractor for projects under $3 million. There is a lot of room to grow with the company and to learn many aspects of the business. We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our dynamic team. As a Construction Estimator, you will play a crucial role in analyzing project requirements, preparing accurate cost estimates, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of construction projects. Responsibilities: Project Analysis: • Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to understand project scope and requirements. • Weekly work plan organization. • Verify requirements according to State and Federal laws, safety codes, etc. • Permits understanding (excavation, waste, asbestos, etc.). • Quantification of materials, square feet, etc. Cost Estimation: • Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services. • Utilize industry-standard estimating software and tools to ensure precision in cost calculations. • Estimate each trade in the scope of work. Bid Preparation: • Develop comprehensive bid proposals, including detailed cost breakdowns and timelines. • Collaborate with the bid management team to ensure timely and accurate submission of proposals. • Achieve bidding goals. • Comply with the specific requirements of individual clients. Subcontractor Relations: • Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure competitiveness and compliance with project requirements. • Negotiate pricing and terms with subcontractors and suppliers to achieve cost-effective solutions. Documentation and Reporting: • Maintain accurate records of estimates, bids, and project-related documentation. • Provide regular reports on cost estimates, bid status, and project progress to senior management. • Constantly monitor forms and organization. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. • Proven experience as a Construction Estimator in the [specific industry or type of construction projects]. • Strong proficiency in construction estimating software and tools. • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills. • Effective communication and negotiation abilities. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines. • Sense of organization and fulfillment of objectives based on a calendar. Compensation: $20,000 a month
