Job description RutterMills, LLP is seeking engaged and empathetic Legal Professionals for a variety of positions that possess the ability to handle a high case volume, communicate effectively both written and verbal and work within a team environment. Responsibilities: * Manage office correspondence and administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, communicating with opposing attorney offices, taking dictation, responding to emails, and reminding the team of upcoming deadlines * Assist with the creation of various litigation documents, including pleadings, motions, subpoenas, affidavits, contracts, and briefs for case preparation, and proofread documents a needed * Use daily time records to properly process client billing with support from the accounting department * Conduct legal research, when necessary, with guidance from attorneys and paralegals * Undertake other duties as needed to ensure the firm operates efficiently Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent is required; associate's degree is a plus * Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a law firm or office environment as an administrative assistant or secretary * Must be able to type at least 50 WPM * Experience with legal software, litigation case management, and docketing programs * Comfortable working with all Microsoft Office products * Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines with quick turnaround times * Organizational skills and communication skills are necessary for this position Job Type: Full-time Salary: From $16.00 per hour Benefits: * 401(k) * 401(k) matching * Health insurance * Paid time off * Vision insurance Schedule: * 8 hour shift COVID-19 considerations: required to wear a mask in public areas, temperature checks, hand sanitizer available throughout.
