    The AFRL Materials and Manufacturing Directorate seeks to hire a motivated and experienced Logistics Manager to serve as a laboratory Logistics program specialist in the RXOE Engineering Services and Support Branch of the RXO Division. This position will be filled at the DO-01 (GS-11 equivalent) and is located at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base near Dayton, Ohio. This is a full-time, permanent position.

    Position duties include, but are not limited to:

    • Integrated Logistics Support. Performs a variety of duties requiring knowledge and skill in applying logistics management principles, methods and techniques to meet logistics requirements.
    • Equipment Accountability Support. Serves as equipment sub-custodian, conducts a “physical hands on” annual inventory of approximately 20,000 on-hand items across multiple accounts, prepares Inventory Equipment Listing, and incorporates finds into correct action plans and root cause analysis.
    • Alternate Logistics Manager/Directorate Logistics Support Spokesperson. Represents Directorate officials at AFRL Wright Site and AFRL HQ conferences to advise on current and future state of logistics policies, plans and program in support of DAF process improvement events directed at any aspect of logistics.
    • Continuity of Operations (COOP)/Emergency Management (EM) Support. Assists in the development and maintenance of the Directorate’s COOP/EM plans and Wing Inspection Team (WIT) activity
    • Serves as the Unit’s Motorcycle Safety Representative

    Required Qualifications

    • SECRET Position designation
    • US citizen
    • Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade, GS-9, or equivalent in other pay systems and/or experience.

    Desired Qualifications

    • Candidate with prior AFRL laboratory operations support experience
    • Candidate with an Associate degree is preferred
    • Candidate resume must clearly articulate relevant prior experience and functional area compliance experience
