COMP: 45k base + commission -- Total comp - $80k year 1
In the Account Executive role, you will focus on selling brokerage services to new & existing customers meeting sales targets and identifying new business development.
What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Look for, find and create leads through trusted sources and cold calling to identify sales and load volume to meet goals
- Speak with new and retained customers and negotiate rates to be most profitable & create client satisfaction
- Create & maintain a strong understanding of the industry (rates, carriers, load capacities, equipment types)
- Collaborate with team members to secure the terms of sale, including negotiating rates, identifying carriers, utilizing specialized equipment, etc.
- Follow established procedures and protocols regarding all loads to ensure the integrity of the shipment and the company brand
- Update internal tracking and reporting systems throughout the day to maintain accuracy in sales and volume metrics
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work or military experience
Preferred:
- 2 years of sales experience & 2 years of experience in transportation or 3PL
