  • Responsibilities

    We are looking for an Accounting Manager to join our team. This person will work collaboratively with the Manager, Accounts Receivable and Collections Manager to oversee both the accounts payable, accounts receivable and collections staff.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • At the first of each month review each and every client statement for accuracy and ensure that all cash receipts have been applied;

    • Ensure that statements are sent to all clients by 5th business day of month;

    • Send Regional A/R reports to each region;

    • Issue the month “Days Sales Outstanding” by Country, Region & Total Company;

    • Formulate and direct collection strategy by country;

    • Reduce Days Sales Outstanding;

    • Work collaboratively and daily with Manager, Accounts Payable & Manager, Accounts Receivable;

    • Review status of delinquent accounts and initiates collection action by contacting each account according to due date.

    • Resolving issues raised by client in researching payment; researching client’s claims that an invoice may be wrongly invoiced; updating the client’s account upon resolution;

    • Working with regional offices to get payments from clients in their regions;

    • Review accounts to be recommended for charge-off and assists preparing report;

    • Performing other accounting duties as may be required including backing up teammates in their absence;

    • Special projects, assigned

    • Demonstrate at all times the willingness & initiative to be a team player and a driver of positive results.

    Experience, Education and Certification

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience preferred.
    • Knowledge of professional principles and skills of accounting and finance.
    • Skilled in math, accuracy and precision, interest in business, organized, willingness to follow recommended procedures, honesty, patience, good written and oral communications skills, good people skills and team player.
    • Minimum of three years of computerized accounting experience.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Great Plains, and use of general office equipment
    • Ability to organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines
    • Well developed interpersonal and communication skills
    • Ability to work in a team environment
