What is a Logistics Coordinator?
Glad you asked! Our Logistics Coordinators, at all levels, are problem solvers, customer satisfaction specialists, and the face of the S-2 brand. A Logistics Coordinator is an entry-level position that comes with uncapped potential for advancement. Are you up for the challenge?
As a Logistics Coordinator – I, a typical day might include the following:
Providing support to the sales and service teams.
Properly entering load details into TMS
Dispatching loads with 100% accuracy.
Ensuring all special instructions are entered and confirmed.
Following customer specific SOPs.
Confirming details with both customer and assigned carrier.
Preparing dispatch documents.
Setting up appropriate tracking mechanisms.
Communicating effectively with teammates to ensure shipment success.

To land this gig, here is what you need:Education: High school diploma or equivalent, college education or similar work experience is a plus
Bonus experience: Have you worked helping people solve problems? If so great! It doesn’t need to be traditional transportation or customer service experience: we have employees from all work backgrounds in our ranks!
And you are good at:
Communication. You write well. You speak eloquently. You follow up on conversations. You can explain just about anything to anyone, and you are comfortable communicating in writing and on the phone.
You have strong typing and computer skills; put those gaming and texting abilities to the test.
You think on your feet. You like learning new things, and you can learn quickly. When things change, you know how to roll with the punches.
