S Ranch Meats is a family-owned custom and direct-to-consumer beef processing facility located in Hardin, MT, less than an hour from Billings, the state’s largest city. The facility is USDA Certified and capable of processing up to 30 head a week with 10-12 full-time employees. The facility is modern, clean and safe and was completely renovated in 2020. In addition to the beef processing facility, S Ranch Meats includes a large cold-storage facility where inventory is stored and sold to the consumer.

S Ranch Meats’ founders have been in the ranching business since 1948 and have a successful cattle operation. In 2020, they branched out to sell their beef directly to the consumer. S Ranch Meat’s beef comes from cattle that are born, bred and raised on the family ranch and finished in their feedlot. This truly is a source-verified program where the animals never leave home until they are processed and customers really know where their beef comes from.

S Ranch Meats is proud of their product and looking for a leader to join their team as Operations Manager. As Operations Manager, you will oversee and implement quality control criteria for all cut, delivered and shipped beef, interact with and grow customer base, manage facility employees and grow skillsets, track all inventory with state-of-the-art software programs, and work with ranch and feedlot managers to ensure adequate supply and demand projections. Skills and tasks specifically suited to this position include:

· Strong organizational skills and leadership ability

· Create and maintain efficient organizational and inventory management systems for product

· Implement and maintain excellent quality control w/ plant manager

· Create and maintain a safe and clean working environment

· Oversee projections for supply and demand with feedlot manager

· Follow markets and keep product pricing current and profitable

· Must be excellent communicator who enjoys working with a strong management team

· Must be interested in continuing education in this field and learning new technologies

· Must be willing to learn beef cuts and anticipate customers’ needs
